From Atlas to the Ocean

Day 1: Marrakech: Pick-up from Marrakech airport. Day-off to visit the city.
Day 2: Marrakech - Taroudant: Departure from Marrakech via a narrow road, which introduces us into the Oued N´Fis valley, birthplace of the Almohade dynasty (North African Berber Empire that dominated Muslim Spain in the last decades of the 12th century). This road is dotted with numerous castles, and especially noteworthy is that of Tin Mal, which stands out in an impregnable piton. The last 15 kilometres climb the mountain, making us going up the Tizi-n-Test, 2,100m- height. From a coffeshop at the top – where we can have a tea- we will discover an amazing eyesight over the desert and a stair-descent towards Taroudant, a beautiful fortified town.
Day 3: Taroudant - Cuello de Kerdous: We will cross an olive grove and argan tree region to reach the AntiAtlas Mountains. After 94Km, the pink village of Igherm is outlined. It is a copper-production centre which had been traded with the Saharan caravans during centuries. We will discover a succession of mineral and desert landscapes, plenty of flowering almond trees from February.
Day 4: Cuello de Kerdous - Agadir: We will pass through Tizi Kerdous (1,100 m-height), stopping to gaze at the extraordinary sights towards the ocean and the AntiAtlas Mountains. We will go down to Tiznit, small city where you can find a colour market. We will continue through the coast road to Agadir. Spare time to visit the historical city centre.
Day 5: Agadir - Essaouira: Following the road, we will discover vast argan tree forest lands, crammed with goats. Short walk in Sidi Kaouki, small nice fishermen village. After about 30 minutes walk through the left side of the village, going around the coast, we will find a beautiful wild beach, where you’ll have the opportunity to swim. We will eat in Essaouira. After that, we’ll visit the city and its barriers during the afternoon.
Day 6: Essaouira: Day-off in Essaouira to immerse into the Medina, along the barriers and the port. In the Medina several artists work and show their jobs. They make objects with the thuya root. This break could be used to enjoy the benefits of a refreshing bath in Sidi Kaouki
Day 7: Essaouira - Marrakech: We will go through a road that crosses Marrakech (Haouz). This is an amazing area which is quite green in winter due to the temperature but the summer time turns it dryness and desert. This road is especially dangerous due to the large amount of mule trucks. We will pass by Chichaoua, store selling carpets. We will eat in Marrakech. Spare time during the afternoon to discover the city.
Day 8: End of the tour: Departure from Marrakech.
