Ouarzazate – The Great South
Day 1: Ouarzazate: Pick up from the Ouarzazate airport. Day- off to visit the city.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - Tineghir: After one night in Ouarzazate, we will discover Skoura village de (42 km), located in the middle of the palm valley. We will walk through the oases, whose exuberant vegetation gives value to the secret Kasbah. From here, we will go to Dades Gorge. After that, we will go to Boulmane, which appears between the Dades sides, a road marked by kasbahs and ksours which offers an ochre—coloured, red and mauve landscape, a stony plateau where the camels graze. After a journey full of Ksours, oases and palm groves, we will reach Tineghir, 1,350 meter-altitude and partially surrounded by a palm grove.
Day 3: Tineghir: Visit to the Todgha Gorge, whose walls become increasingly narrower to reach 300-meter height.
Day 4: Tineghir - Erfoud: We will go to Tinejdad village to reach Touroug ksar, which is surrounded by wonderful oases. After that we will go through Jorf palm grove which will take us non-stop to Erfoud, where the country’s best dried dates can be collected. Then, we will discover the desert and its voluptuous dunes covered with thin and gold sand. Merzouga dunes are accessible by car thanks to the asphalt that substitutes the old road.
Day 5: Erfoud: Few hours away from Erfoud, we will discover the desert. Merzouga dunes are accessible by car or by renting 4x4 -driver services included - that will allow us to penetrate into the dunes.
Day 6: Erfoud - Zagora:This itinerary crosses the south Sahara regions of Djebel Sagho by a tarmac road. These regions will take us to Rissani. After that, we will reach Mcessi, lost village in the middle of the desert. After Alnif, we will find the Tazzarine palm grove. Beautiful villages are attached to Djebel Tizouguirine.. We will go through Kob, Tansikht villages and we will find Draa valley, greenness snake that penetrates the desert to take us to Zagora.
Day 7: Zagora - Ouarzazate: From Zagora we will go to Ouarzazate through the Draa valley, discovering a number of villages and oases. After Agdz, we will cross Djebel Sagho and its incredible heartshaped dunes. This will guarantee an impressive route.
Day 8: End of the itinerary: Departure from Ouarzazate.
